Our Partners

Who do we consider to be partners?

The clue is in the name. The Greater Together Foundation aims to support all the key role players in keeping a community safe and functioning. There is no silver bullet in fixing community, and it is arrogance on the part of any organisation to believe that they hold all the answers. It is only in working in concert, in a co-ordinated, strategic and transparent way that we are able to information share effectively in order for the greater good.

We have identified key role players in the community who will all benefit from the existence of efforts of the GTF and our Co-ordination centre.

Co-ordination Centre

Our task team is carefully selected and vetted for maximum output. Each section of the team, headed up by an industry expert. From patrolling, to communications, to technology, we have sourced partners who have tens of thousands of hours of specific community field experience.

Private Security Companies

With the aid of our intelligence and technology, we will be able to assist the multiple sets of data coming in from inidivual security companies across Durban North.

The information coming in through our co-ordinated efforts covers the whole area, meaning we are able to view it all in context.

This is where pushing back criminal activity becomes pre-emptive rather than reactive.

SAPS

The involvement of SAPS in any successful crime prevention strategy is critical.
Through a structured engagement between GTF Management, CPF and Neighbourhood Watch teams we can leverage the collective power of what the model has to offer.
All processes, data capturing and analytics has been designed in line with adding maximum value to SAPS and their pivotal role in securing our communities.

The Community

Durban North precincts, united

Neighbourhood Watch

An integral part of the South African Story.

We have many Neighbourhood Watch forums around the province to thank for their efforts during the riots.

The reality is, we were caught off guard and scrambling for a week for intel that was secure. Multiple disparate sets of information coming through on various channels moment by moment, made the landscape cluttered and noisy.

We need to Co-ordinate our efforts to ensure that our trusted NHW groups have reliable information coming in during a time of crisis when time and truth is of the essence.

North Durban Honours Board

Any organisation of this type is only made possible by standing on the shoulders of those who came before us.

Here we give homage to those members in our community who have upheld CPF’s and Neighbourhood watches with pride and dedication.

Equally, we are able to launch our ambitious plans to unite the North Durban Area as a direct result of our Corporate Sponsors.
